| Job Description | The Leibniz Institute for Age Research - Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) in Jena, Germany is a member of the Leibniz Association and its basic budget is supported jointly by Thuringia and by the Federal Government. Our mission is to understand the molecular mechanisms that underlie the ageing process and that lead to age-related diseases. We hope that eventually this knowledge can contribute to a more healthy aging of people.
The Molecular Genetics Group of the Leibniz Institute for Age Research – Fritz-Lipmann-Institute e.V. in Jena invites applications for a Postdoc Position The group studies aspects of organogenesis, organ regeneration and aging in different model organisms. A particular focus is on the Wilms tumor suppressor genes Wt1 and Wtx. The applicant should be highly self-motivated with a genuine interest in developmental biology and have good team-working capabilities. Know-how in molecular biology is essential. Experience in zebrafish and/or mouse work, tissue processing and other methods in developmental biology would be an advantage. We offer the position in a well-equipped research group of a high quality institute for age research, which harbours several state-of-the-art facilities. Our work is embedded in the Beutenberg Campus, an interdisciplinary base for innovative research. The position is limited for two years initially. The contract conditions and the salary will be according to the collective labour agreement for public service employees of the federal states of Germany (TV-L E13).
