Job Description The Mitochondrial Biogenesis Laboratory at Koç University seeks candidates for an open postdoctoral position. The candidate will use Saccharomyces cerevisiae and human cells to examine the molecular consequences of mitochondrial DNA damage. The research will take place under the mentorship of Dr. Cory Dunn and will take advantage of a combination of molecular, genetic, and cell biological methodologies.

Koç University is one of the top research institutions in Turkey and is located in Istanbul at the junction of the Bosphorus and Black Sea. Salary is competitive and dependent upon experience, and housing support and health insurance are provided.

The Mitochondrial Biogenesis Laboratory is funded by the Koç University College of Sciences and an EMBO Installation Grant.
Qualification Candidates should be highly motivated and have a strong publication record. Microbiology experience or a background in genetic analysis of proteins and pathways is advantageous, but not required. Excellent command of the English language is absolutely essential.
