| Job Description | Applications are invited for internally funded PhD student fellowships at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI) in Basel, Switzerland. The FMI is affiliated with the University of Basel and is funded by the Novartis Research Foundation. Our research focuses on epigenetics, mechanisms of cancer and neurobiology. We employ state-of-the-art technologies to explore basic molecular mechanisms of cells and organisms in health and disease.
Our International PhD Program has approximately 100 graduate students from more than 25 countries. The working language is English. Most students are registered at the University of Basel. |
| Qualification | The successful candidate holds a Diploma (or M.Sc.) acceptable for matriculation at the University of Basel and has a strong background in cell and molecular biology. |
| Compensation | Financial support is in accordance with the scale of the Swiss National Science Foundation. |
