Life Science Mobility Portal to be discontinued

The Life Science Mobility Portal (mobility.embo.org), an information platform on funding, training and jobs for European life scientists, will be discontinued. Current information will be maintained until March 29 but no new information will be added from February 1 onwards. This decision has been made after an evaluation of the services and information offered by comparable resources, assessment of the internal resources needed to maintain the platform, and consideration of other alternatives.

EMBO has maintained mobility.embo.org since 2004 and the portal has served as a useful resource for life scientists considering research opportunities in Europe.  However, it is apparent that much of the information on funding, training and jobs for European life scientists is available from other sources. In the interests of not duplicating services and information and making the best use of available resources it has been decided to discontinue the portal.

In the absence of the Life Science Mobility Portal, we recommend that users consult the European Commission Euraxess web site at http://ec.europa.eu/euraxess for related information and services.

We thank you for your interest and support over the years.
